Earning A Teaching Certificate

  • Traditional Route - For individuals who would like to complete their teacher preparation program at a college or university, leading to a Bachelor's or Master's degree in education and certification.
  • Alternative Route - Designed for career changers and for individuals already working in the school system who want to transition to full-time teaching. Compared to traditional educator preparation programs, alternative routes tend to be shorter, more convenient, more affordable, and more practically oriented. Additionally, individuals who currently hold a Limited Certificate can use their certificate as an entry point into an alternative route program.
